This is the product that gave us not only our origin but new ideas that may allow you to taste the living culture of Peru through their food and traditions.
We shall start the day by meeting at Plaza San Francisco (one of the main squares in Cusco) and then we will proceed to a local market, where we can appreciate all the different types of local ingredients of daily use, some brought by the conquistadors, others of native origin, we shall get an explanation of their use in the Andes and how so of them has expanded all over the world.
We shall visit a number of stands (meat, fish, poultry, seasoning, coffee, cacao, and special potato section) we shall basically be where the cusquenians buy for cooking their every day meals.
We shall purchase some basic ingredients and from there we shall go to my home (the chef´s place) or to my restaurant that shall be opened exclusively for the group (according to the group preference), so in a very relaxed environment we all shall participate in the cooking process of some Peruvian dishes type style while we may enjoy a few round of our famous Pisco Sour.
